BWS Polska was established in May 1995 as a private partnership based
on the one of owner's experience gained in a distribution company.
The main warehouse was built in Rzeszów and soon new branches
were set up with goods stores in Sosnowiec, Warsaw, Lublin and Nowy Sacz. Their main goal was to intensify the sales and to improve the logistics.In 1999 the company changed its status from a private partnership into a limited liability company. The assets of the former company were wholly logged as the capital of the new one in the form of contribution in business, which was 3,418,000 PLN. In the same year the company started
importing wines in order to prepare an offer of Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Spanish, and Italian wines. Long term contracts including exclusive rights were signed with wine producers, thus securing the strong position of BWS POLSKA as an importer on the Polish market.
However, the main idea was to create the company's own brands.
