The present status

During the last year many changes were made in logistics as well as in the company's organization. The main goods storehouse and customs warehouse were opened. However, stores located outside our site were closed down. The trade offices were retained at the same locations. We have limited our own transport in favour of contracts with big logistic companies i.e. Raben and Hellman. Executive Manager was assigned to manage the trade framework. The positions of area sales managers were created, having a considerable independence in leading a team of 25 sales representatives. The positions of the Product Managers were created as supportive and subordinated to the Marketing Manager post. As a result, all these efforts brought about a complete change of the company's image: it turned from a family business into a professional trade company managed by specialists. A few years of activity have enabled the company to specialize in import of wines from Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Spain. The price, the attractive graphic design and the quality of the wines in our offer were so appealing that it allowed us to strengthen our position as a wine importer. A selection of own brands is sold in the majority of business establishments, wholesale stores and supermarkets in Poland. The cooperation with the leading multi wholesale distributors such as: Żywiec Trade, Alti Plus, Multi-Ex, Eldorado, and other regional wholesale stores and shop networks allows the company to be present on the wine market, and our attractive offer ensures a very high level of goods turnover. Wines of BWS POLSKA are available in businesses of foreign capital groups such as: Makro / METRO / AG, Ahold, Rewe, Casino, in the supermarket chains like: Tesco, Leclerc, Polomarket, Stokrotka, Intermarche and other trade organizations. Large trading areas Supermarkets in Poland have reached about 30 -40% of share in retail sales of wine goods. The average number of BWS POLSKA references is from 6 to 8 wines. During the last two years, the increase in the large trading areas of the supermarket chains resulted in less than proportional increase of the total sales.
